Before I read "The Miracle of Mindfulness" by Thich Nhat Hanh, I believed that I could divide time and set aside moments in the day for myself. For my breath. It's sad that I have only now recognized that every moment is my moment. My life, regardless of what I am preoccupied with or distracted by, is my moment. That only if I stop and see that every second is my second I not only embrace life but recognize patience.

What I've come to know this summer:
1) My mother's patience. Her resilience in attempting to comprehend my actions
2) My father. How he loves his country more than his family. How nothing could make him happier than helping his people.
3) How much I have to learn. How far I have to push myself to become what I have only now decided to become.
4) The people who believe in me. Although very few, they are the hope that I do not have.
5) God. And to be waiting for something from Him. Knowing it will never come if I don't work for it.
6) 1/100000000... of who I am. Who I want to be.
7) That Art defines me, and when I find myself in a rut I realize my close mindedness.
8) Spending time with the person who loves you the most can never be enough.
9) That poetry seems to have left me.
10) Dreams become reality when you smile.

Things I have to do:
1) 50 pages in sketchbook.
2) 6 studios.
3) Jane Eyre.
4) Community Service.
5) Research for Essay.

Only one month left...I am screwed. But I've got every moment.
